Description
The Dwyer No. 400 Air Meter is a combination inclined and vertical liquid manometer that shows air pressure and air velocity on one scale. Black figures give pressure from 0 to 5 in w.c., while red figures read velocity directly from 400 to 9000 feet per minute for standard air, so no conversion tables are needed. Paired with the pitot tube in this kit, HVAC balancing contractors and plant engineers use it to traverse ducts, check filter pressure drop and test fan inlet and outlet pressures.
Key features
- Dual scale: pressure in inches of water and velocity in feet per minute
- Inclined section for fine resolution and vertical section for extended range
- Machined solid acrylic Durablock body
- Screw leveling adjustment with ground glass bubble level
- Liquid manometer principle, no batteries or electronics required
Typical applications
- Air balancing of HVAC duct systems
- Pitot tube traverses for duct velocity
- Filter pressure drop checks
- Fan and blower inlet and discharge pressure tests
