Description
The Dwyer UFM-1 is a compact clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter that combines converter and sensor in one unit. It measures the transit-time difference of ultrasonic signals through the pipe wall and shows both flow rate and totalized volume on a backlit display. The meter covers pipe outside diameters from about 0.98 to 4.62 in and is intended for homogeneous liquids without air. Facility managers and OEM integrators use it as a low-cost way to add flow monitoring to existing small-diameter lines without cutting the pipe.
Key features
- All-in-one converter and sensor with adjustable guide rail
- Non-invasive transit-time measurement
- Backlit display showing flow rate and total
- Volume pulse output and 4-20 mA flow rate output
- Kit includes clamps and adaptors for several pipe sizes
Typical applications
- Chilled and hot water monitoring in HVAC systems
- Small process and utility water lines
- Flow verification on equipment cooling circuits
- Retrofit metering where inline meters cannot be installed
