Description
The FLIR E6-XT steps up from the E5-XT with a 240 x 180 detector, which gives more than twice the pixel count and finer detail when scanning distant or small targets. It measures surface temperatures from -20 °C to 550 °C and combines thermal and visual imagery with MSX so components are easy to identify in reports. Maintenance electricians, facility engineers and energy auditors use it for quick screening without manual focusing. FLIR has since retired the E6-XT, so it is presented here as a discontinued model.
Key features
- 240 x 180 infrared detector (43,200 pixels)
- Thermal sensitivity below 0.06 °C for subtle temperature differences
- Extended measurement range up to 550 °C
- MSX image enhancement using the integrated visual camera
- Point-and-shoot operation with a fixed-focus 45° lens
- Wi-Fi image transfer and radiometric JPEG files
Typical applications
- Electrical inspection of switchgear, terminations and overloaded circuits
- Mechanical inspection of bearings, couplings and belts
- Building envelope surveys and moisture indication
- Inspection of steam traps and process piping
