Description
The FLIR T540-42 is the higher-resolution model of the FLIR T500 series, delivered with a 42° x 32° lens as indicated by the -42 suffix. Its 464 x 348 detector provides 161,472 temperature measurement points, which helps when inspecting small components or working from a safe distance. Like the T530, it has a 180° rotating optical block, but it adds a wider temperature span reaching 1500°C. Industrial thermographers, IR consultants and reliability engineers use it for detailed electrical, mechanical and high-temperature process inspections.
Key features
- 464 x 348 infrared detector with 161,472 measurement points
- Temperature range extended to 1500°C for furnaces, kilns and hot process equipment
- 180° rotating optical block for awkward viewing angles
- Laser-assisted autofocus and on-screen laser distance measurement
- MSX and UltraMax processing for sharper thermal detail
- Field reporting tools including voice annotation, text notes, sketches and GPS tagging
Typical applications
- High-voltage and distribution equipment inspections at safe distances
- Refractory, kiln and furnace shell monitoring
- Mechanical condition monitoring in manufacturing plants
- Detailed inspection of small electronic and electrical components
