Description
The 8478B/100 is configured with a Type-N male RF input connector. The Keysight 8478B is a coaxial thermistor mount used as an RF power sensing element with thermistor bridge power meters. RF power heats the thermistor, and the meter measures the change in bias power needed to hold it in balance, giving a DC-substitution power reading. Because of this method it is widely used in standards labs as a transfer standard for power sensor calibration.
