Description
The Testo 420 is a digital differential pressure meter for ventilation and air conditioning work. It reads small pressure differences of up to ±120 Pa, which suits filter checks, and calculates air velocity and volume flow when used with an optional pitot tube. Paired with the matching testo capture hood, it measures volume flow at supply and return grilles. Readings are saved to 2 GB of internal memory and can be transferred over micro-USB. HVAC balancing and commissioning technicians are the main users.
Key features
- Differential pressure range of ±120 Pa (±0.480 inH₂O)
- Air velocity and volume flow calculation with optional pitot tube
- Works with the testo 0563 4200 capture hood
- Built-in absolute pressure measurement
- 2 GB internal memory with micro-USB interface
- Illuminated 3.5 in dot matrix display
Typical applications
- Air filter condition checks in AHUs
- Duct velocity and volume flow measurement
- Supply and return grille balancing with a capture hood
- HVAC commissioning documentation
