Description
The Dwyer Series PUX is a portable converter for clamp-on ultrasonic flow measurement. Paired with Series PSX2 sensors, it applies the transit-time difference method to measure liquid flow through the pipe wall, so no cutting or process shutdown is needed. A built-in rechargeable battery allows about five hours of continuous use and recharges in roughly three hours. Maintenance teams, energy auditors and commissioning engineers carry it from site to site to verify installed meters, survey pumps and check flow in lines that have no permanent instrument.
Key features
- Transit-time difference measurement from outside the pipe
- Compact, lightweight housing for field carrying
- Built-in battery for about 5 hours of continuous operation
- Approximately 3 hour recharge time
- High-speed microprocessor for quick response
- Large graphic LCD
Typical applications
- Verification of installed flowmeters
- Pump performance and system balancing checks
- Temporary flow surveys in HVAC and process piping
