Description
This Emerson 475 Field Communicator is configured for HART devices only, a common choice for sites whose instrumentation is built on 4 to 20 mA loops with HART digital communication. Technicians use it to set ranges, tag names and damping, trim sensors and check device status on transmitters, valve positioners and analyzers. The 475 has been discontinued by Emerson and replaced by the AMS Trex, yet it remains a legacy model still found in many plants for HART configuration and commissioning tasks.
