Legacy Emerson handheld communicator for configuring and diagnosing both HART and FOUNDATION Fieldbus instruments.

Description

The Emerson 475 Field Communicator is a rugged, intrinsically safe handheld used to configure, monitor and troubleshoot smart field instruments. This version supports both HART and FOUNDATION Fieldbus devices, so one tool covers mixed plants where analog-plus-HART transmitters sit alongside fieldbus segments. Emerson has discontinued the 475 in favor of the AMS Trex, but it remains a legacy model still widely used by instrument technicians for HART and FOUNDATION Fieldbus work in process plants.
