Description
The HPC44K covers 44 kV class systems with a 44 kV / 48 kV / 55 kV rating (system, full scale, maximum). Each stick is 5.3 ft long and the set weighs 5.2 lbs. Hoyt HPC phasing sticks are a pair of insulated hot-stick probes used to check whether two energized conductors are in phase or out of phase before they are connected or paralleled. The two sticks are linked by a lead and the reading is shown on a dual scale in percent and VAC. Line crews and utility technicians also use them for phase-to-phase comparison and phase-to-earth tests on medium-voltage distribution systems.
Key features
- Phase-to-phase, phase comparison and phase-to-earth testing
- Dual scale reading in percent and VAC
- Supplied with two factory test reports to IEC specifications (100 kV for one minute)
- ABS carrying case and manual included
Typical applications
- Phasing checks before closing ties or paralleling feeders
- Verifying phase rotation on overhead and underground lines
- Phase-to-earth voltage presence checks
- Substation and switchgear commissioning
